A Brain Based Approach to Core Stabilization – Free Webinar

[For Providers]

By November 16, 2020WebExercises Academy

****This webinar is intended for Healthcare Professionals Only.

In this webinar, participants will be introduced to a brain based approach to core stabilization. The majority of information the brain receives is subconscious, creating reflexive responses through the proprioceptive, vestibular & ocular systems. Reflexive stability is subconscious & often overlooked as part of a rehabilitation & performance paradigm, however recognizing the numerous subconscious reflexes that exist for stability of our upright system warrants further investigation about how to integrate this into a workable movement paradigm for anyone. In other words, understanding neurology allows one to apply neurological principles that help improve the efficiency of the human system. This webinar will discuss strategies to implement a brain based approach to movement by applying principles that emphasize reflexive stability via a better understanding of the sensory system.

After viewing the 1 hour webinar, the participant will be able to:

  • Discuss the fundamentals of intervention, and how it applies to reflexive stability.
  • Describe the importance of central sensory integration and its relevance to movement quality.
  • Name strategies to facilitate improved central sensory integration.
  • Recognize the importance of the isolated integrated spectrum of movement & how to apply it to reflexive stability.
  • Implement strategies to engage the nervous system in order to improve motor output.

Join us Tuesday, November 24th at 10:00am PST / 1:00pm EST
