Introduction to Concepts and Principles of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) webinar

Dynamic neuromuscular (core) stability is necessary for optimal athletic performance and is not achieved purely by adequate strength of abdominals, spinal extensors, gluteals or any other musculature; rather, core stabilization is accomplished through precise coordination of these muscles and intra‐abdominal pressure regulation by the central nervous system.

The Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) approach provides functional tools to assess and activate the intrinsic spinal stabilizers in order to optimize the movement system for both pre‐habilitation and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, performance, and training.

Join this course to:

  • Learn the concepts and principles of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization.
  • Understand the relationship between development during the first year of life and dysfunction of the locomotor system in adulthood.
  • Learn how to demonstrate the basis of human movement and how to enhance rehabilitation and performance with that knowledge.
  • Understand how to evaluate and correct poor respiratory patterns.
  • Learn how DNS corrective exercises can be integrated with other exercise and rehabilitation strategies.
